Colton Fowler is an up-and-coming race car driver on the modified stock car circuit. He needed a website to attract and sign up sponsors as well as communicate with his fans.
January, 2006: Colton has decided to pursue a different career. The site shown at right is thus no longer live (you're viewing a back-up copy).
Logo.
The colors and overall look of the site were inspired by Colton's black, orange and yellow race car, which is pictured on the home page.
Pixel Relish melded the car's colors and persona, so to speak, with the established IMCA logo in creating the Colton Fowler - Dirt Track Racer logo. We then complimented the masthead with the lines, curves, open type and other elements we designed into the rest of the site.
Search engine relevancy.
We definitely wanted the Colten Fowler site to be search engine friendly. Among other things, it's a strong selling point for potential sponsors.
Quick load times.
Vast areas of the U.S. (and beyond) do not have access to high-speed Internet connections. Unless specifically requested by the client, Pixel Relish always crafts pages that load quickly and/or that give viewers plenty of content to read while bell-and-whistle aesthetics load.
Please note...
Pixel Relish cannot take credit for all of the Colton Fowler website. We designed the pages and put most of them together, but Carolyn Myers of cmhosting.net created the slide shows and the other dynamic elements in the site. She also did all of the site's final linking and testing.
