401(k) Easy is 401k plan management software that's akin to tax software in that many of its functions run off year-specific coding information.
For a renewal fee, clients received a new package of customized software each year; upgrades incorporate year-specific changes (the new year's 401k contribution maximums, for instance) and technological improvements into the PC-based program.
Easytec asked Pixel Relish to create a friendly html reminder that could be e-mailed to clients who had not yet sent in their renewal orders.
Grab the reader's attention.
Always a top priority in any message, whether solicited or not. The orange-stroked headline serves the effort well, while the "new year is just around the corner" line helps jog the associative memory for software renewal.
Include some text.
Always give viewers information to read while images are loading. This can be done as "alt" tags (what shows up on screen in the spot where the image will load) and/or text blocks. For this ad, we decided to use formatted text (rather than images) for the crux of the message, so it would be the first thing to load. It's not the most beautiful part of the ad, but it's so functional that we felt it imperative to include. Today, of course, we could make it look better because technology now grants us more control over on-screen text.
