Wild Planet had limited content for its site but needed an immediate Web presence for a trade show.
Pixel Relish designed the site around the existing Wild Planet logo and trademark swimming fish phototography. We had no freedom to rework the content. (For instance, we suggested editing the home page's content to make it seem more like a home page, but the company chose not to do so -- at least initially.)
At the client's request, Pixel Relish designed both right-oriented and left-oriented versions. Shown at right is the left-oriented version (a slightly more search-engine-savvy approach). The right-oriented version works off a wider canvas but is otherwise very similar.
Please note:
The site shown at right is NOT the live Wild Planet Web site. Pixel Relish was hired as a subcontractor for initial design and creation of the Wild Planet mini-site; the pages we created are shown at right. The client, with whom we, as subcontractors, were never allowed to speak or counsel, has subsequently added content and altered the design -- it almost works, but it's a shame the client didn't merge the navigation column background into the header; go to www.1wildplanet.com to view the site in it's present state.
